Book 1: "The Leopard book"

"Of silk and sand" by J. du P. Bothma

Professor (Emeritus) Bothma tells his story and experiences in the Kalahari while studying and following leopards through the semi-desert. The books expansively trace the origin of the large African cats from their very origin many millions of years ago, with a special focus on the Leopard and Lion.

"Kinders van die duine" by Fritz Eloff, in cooperation with Kobus du Toit

Fritz Eloff is probably the authoratative voice on lions, expecially the Kalahari lions. He stayed for years in the Kalahari to study them and also picked up a lot of knowledge about the Bushmen ("Boesmans"), the nomadic tribe living alongside the lions in the dry and harsh Kalahrari.
