Bird at Nkwe waterpoint

13 August 2014

www.leopard.tv

QUESTION:

What kind of bird is this?

ANSWER:

This shows a young black stork. The black stork occurs widely in the world but it does not migrate. It mainly eats fish and sometimes helps to spot a fish in the water by shading the water with spread wings. A young black stork has a yellow bill and legs as opposed to red ones in the adult one.
